3 Los Alamitos, CA Los Alamitos, CA Part-time Part-time $18 - $20 an hour $18 - $20 an hour 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago A few things you'll focus on as a Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist - Provide the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees and referral sources through the coordination and administration of the front office activities.
Front office activities include, but not limited to, scheduling patients for appointments, greeting patients as they come into one of our locations, answer telephone calls, fit patients with some off-the-shelf medical products and conduct retail sales.
This is a part time position with flexible hours.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for answering incoming calls Provide the highest level of customer service to patients, fellow employees and referral sources.
Ensure the privacy and security of protected health information per HIPAA requirements.
Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal, oral (including telephone) and written communication skills.
Ability to discern individual needs of patient.
Ability to work effectively as a team member.
Work closely with our medical and nutritional staff to identify the products that best fit the patient needs.
Basic understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology and a complete understanding of general office duties.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Proficiency with basic math and accounting skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Proficient computer skills including Windows based office technologies (ex.
Word, Excel), e-mail and automated billing systems.
